Taxing Matters

Hey, it’s almost April 15th. Here’s a broad overview of where our taxes are going. Want to place any bets about what’s most likely to get cut to provide our stimulus checks? Or we could just borrow a little more.

    4.4 cents out of every dollar for education and “social” programs. Start there and then get rid of PBS.

    42.5 cents of each dollar goes to the military? Ouch.

    Yeah, but it’d be pretty hard to fight the war in Iraq without a military now wouldn’t it?

    That’s the perfect reason to lessen the amount of taxes spent on the military then thatsrightmate.

    I’m sorry, but Iraq just got rid of 1,300 soldiers we can’t afford to be pulling out on them now when these courageous people are building a new state.
